Delaware’s Bayshore Byway
Ever wonder about Route 9? Check out the Delaware’s Bayshore Byway Corridor Management Plan to learn about this initiative which includes “Discovery Zones” from New Castle to St. Jones Neck. Efforts are underway to extend the Byway to Lewes which would also include Bowers, Milford, and Milton. In a recent Delaware’s Bayshore Byway Marketing Committee meeting, DelDOT indicated that the nomination of Delaware’s Bayshore Byway to the Federal Highway Administration met the requirements for becoming an All-American Road, the highest category of Byway.
